About
I teach and do research on media - old and new. My current interest concerns "presence" and it's important place in our thinking about media. I combine ethnography and the philosophy of affect (Spinoza, Bergson, Deleuze, Massumi) to understand the way in which we live a relation between the real and the virtual. I'm examining these philosophical questions in the context of MMO gaming.
